Ron was reunited with his beloved wife, Diane, as he entered eternal life on April 7, 2024. He is survived by daughter Linda (David) Horne and son Mike (Anita) Silbernagel along with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren plus another one on the way.
Ron‘s greatest accomplishment, besides having a close knit family, was starting his own business, Silbernagel Trucking, in 1969. He loved the business so much that even when he retired in 2009 he still continued to go to the office every afternoon until he developed macular degeneration 3 years ago.
When mom was alive, they spent most weekends in the summer at their camper at Timber Trails in West Bend and enjoyed taking road trips to different states around the US. For many years he enjoyed solving all the world‘s problems with his Panera groups 6 days a week, the last time being the day before he passed.
His last two years were spent at The Congregational Home in Brookfield where his favorite activity was sitting outside on the patio for hours at a time, soaking up the fresh air and sunshine. We’re grateful for the wonderful staff that took care of him and are asking in Lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to The Congregational Home (13900 Burleigh Road Brookfield WI 53005) to purchase a flowering tree to be placed in the garden area in memory of him.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2024 at Becker Ritter Funeral Home from 9:30 am until the time of Ron’s Funeral Service at 11 am.
